Taking over

Yep. This is the same ole toilet bowl that we've had all along. Um, people, you aren't getting too far with the bathroom project are you?
Our friend Raul, who is a REAL project manager is going to be done with his kitchen WAY before we efun get around to finally picking out our tile! Beau Beau, our PMP has been slacking on the job. So I guess I'll have to take a bigger role in picking out the tile. Hmm, I think this creamy colored Italian tile will do.

Apostle attack

This is a picture of our Apostle plant. It is also a plant that it exhibiting a strange phenomenom. It seems to have little bitey holes all over it. Now I know that plants may start to show some disease or start to die and turn brown but bitey holes are not something that they can do themselves. Take a closer look below at the apparent evidence of self mutilation and self shredding.

Beau Beau. "Yes Mom?" Do you know anything about the poor plant's leaves exhibiting this sorry state they are in? "No Mom. Me an Angie nefur go near that plant. It am a scary plant wif all those arms hanging off it." Now are you sure Beau Beau? Because there also seemed to be some um, how shall we say, rejected, half digested, little chewed pieces of plant left in a little pile on the carpet. In other words, someone in the house threw up some of the eaten plant. Angie. "Yes Mom." Have you been eating the plant? "No Mom. I'm scared of the plant with all those arms hanging off it. It might wrap it self around me or something. Urp. 'Scuse me."

Well kids, some plants are not good for you too eat because it might make you sick. I will be watching this plant to see if it gets attacked again. It was a present from your Aunt. I don't think she would be too happy to see what's happened to it nor does she want you to get sick. So you might just want to keep an eye on it but stay far away from it. Ok? "Yes, Mom."

Beau Beau's Gotcha Day

Today is the one-year anniversary of my Gotcha Day. Daddy is really the one who picked me out at the Meriden CT Humane Society. I was only six-months old. When the humans came into the room that my cage was in, Daddy looked at me and gasped! He said he loved the way I looked. They got me out of my cage and held me and I just sat in their arms nice and quiet like. That seemed to be the charm and they took me home that day. Then the fun began. I drove Mom crazy because she hadn't had a kitten in hundreds of years and I never stopped running all over the house. She had to call the v.e.t. twice coz she thought I was going to die from things that she didn't even have to worry about. No the Lily plant didn't cause me to get poisoned and die even though the pollen was all over my face and paws. And, no, I didn't eat all your pills, that was an old bottle you let me play wif. So, I was having all this fun being the number one and all and then they got Angie. So now I'm a big boy as you can see from the picture. I'm even gettin' a paunchy belly!

Um, Mom, this was last October and we had pumpkins. Where are the pumpkins for this year huh? Are we a little busy or something?

Daddy's shoes look so much bigger in this picshur!

Look - the bowl is even bigger than me almost! Plllluugh.

Now I gots a little paunchy belly. See how I even let Mommy touch it? But not for long though. That's MY belly.

Baffroom Manager

Mine Mom has to go to Mew Jersey fur werk this week and while she's gone I am lookin' ofur the baffroom picshurs of stuff that goes in there. It has to match wif the paper that goes on the wall. That paper picshur looks just like where I wented on vay-cay-shun wif the beans when I hid in the luggage and spent the week on the beach. This way the baffroom can always remind us of island vay-cay-shuns.

For the hard working humans

I sit reflective by my 'puter books. Sometimes things seem so hard for the humans at their work. This is for all them humans who are working hard. I have another verse from the "Tao of Meow" by Waldo Japussy.

You cannot move mountains,
If you believe them to be mountains.
You must think of them as collections of small stones,
Which can be moved one at a time,
And then reassembled.

Make work difficult, and it cannot be done.
Make it simple, and even a simpleton can do it.
There is great virtue in hard work,
As long as someone else is doing it.

Happy Purthday Dad

Today is Daddy's Birthday. He doesn't look any older to us but we hasn't known him that long. But we loves him acoz he's the one that feeds us most of the time. He gets up early and he feeds us right away efun if we jump on his head ferst. Plus he plays frow the mousie and twirl the birdie wif us an he sets up Angie's box in front of the back door on nice days so she can watch outside. Plus he lets Angie sleep between him and Mommy and lets her stick her paws on his neck. He likes Angie sleepin next to his neck acoz he says it's better than a heatin' pad. So Happy Purthday Dad!
Love Angie and Beau Beau

To Meow or not to Meow

To be able to speak or not to speak is most important.

From the Tao of Meow by Waldo Japussy.

If you can utter the one true sound,
You have found the way.
Some humans call the way "the Tao."
All I know is it rhymes with Meow.
And when I say, "Meow," I want my way.
Whether I speak it or not, it is the one true sound,
Because it lets me get my way.

Meow is the beginning of all things,
The source of everything I want.
I don't actually need all things,
Although some humans think they do.
Food, shelter, catnip, and mice to catch
Are enough for me.
Although-- I will admit__
It's nice to have someone provide these things for me.

I do not know their names -- they are the Nameless Ones.
I just call them "Meow."
Meow. They come. They open the door.
I don't know how they do it.
But they do. They know the Meow.

Through the Meow, it is possible to perceive the Subtle.
Through the Meow, it is possible to get what you want.
The Tao of Meow--
The way to get the best of both worlds.

And when I have the best of both,
I lie down on a simple blanket
And contemplate the profound__
Even that which is more profound than the profound,
More subtle than and subtlety__
The purr of perfection
Which is the door to all contentment.

Bad weekend

There was a lot of bad energy in our house this weekend. That's why I look like this. Loud screaming noises came out of the humans (Mom and the teenage sisfur). Mom is a fairly quiet purson and doesn't like loud noises AT ALL. And this is furry disturbing to bouf of us.

Here's a flower for you Mom.
